The Club welcomes both dinghy and cruiser sailor members. Dinghy races take place most Sundays between April and December. There is a variety of dinghy classes sailed at Wivenhoe Sailing Club. The local Wivenhoe One Design (WOD) class is also popular and often results in close competition.
Wivenhoe is an excellent location for cruiser sailors, convenient for continental trips and with local east coast estuaries offering both marina facilities and quiet anchorages. The Club has cruiser moorings for members and is well equipped to enable cruiser sailors to lay-up at the clubhouse and launch using our own slipway.
The Club provides social events throughout the year, but especially during the winter months. The Club was founded in 1925 by a small group of local yachtsmen and moved to the current premises in 1994. Click here for an aerial view of the clubhouse.
